Stoney Lee grew up in a musical household in the Fifties where at age
eleven he was given a Woolworth's acoustic guitar and taught
himself to play. By age twelve he was playing church and
social events in a local combo with his schoolmates performing
the hits of the day.
Stoney soon gravitated towards the blues and played bass in
the 31st Street Blues Band for four years playing with and
opening for greats like John Lee Hooker and Luther Tucker.
At
age twenty Stoney became a father and moved his family to the
Skagit Valley of Washington State where he settled in Sedro-Woolley.
Eventually he joined the country rock band Pyramid lead by
DonnieCoggins. Stoney played with various other groups
in the ten years he stayed in the valley after which he left
for

Seattle
to join the cowboy rock group The Rangehoods.
Stoney Lee's musical life revolves around many influences,
where blues, rock, soul and country all contribute to his
character.
Stoney's personal interests include motorcycles, boating
and fishing, shooting, hiking, languages and a good book.
