To: Mark Collins & Latigo Lace
Dear Latigo Lace,
Thank you for your participation in the 30th
Annual KMPS Birthday Bash in September! What an amazing
concert for more than 6,000 KMPS Loyal Listeners. Thank you
for allowing our Traffic Reporter Flo to perform with your
group. We also appreciate the fact that you went the extra
mile in providing some of the equipment for Tracy Byrd and
his Crew.
It has been a pleasure to work with all of you for
these many years and watch the evolution of your act. You
have developed a tremendous following here in the Northwest.
Your ability to market yourselves so successfully has
clearly paid off. We look forward to working with you on
future projects.
Sincerely,

Becky

Dear Mark (and the entire Latigo Lace crew!),
Well… another Whistlestop! Music Festival is under our
belts! It was a real pleasure to have Latigo Lace
back again this year for our Country, Cajun & Bluegrass
show. You are absolutely the best country band to play in
this area and it shows in the fan base you are starting to
build in the Yakima Valley.
When Whistlestop! started in 2001 there was a general
"rule" that we wouldn’t book the same bands two years in a
row. We are now trying to figure out how to get you back for
a third straight year! Adding to your popularity were
definitely the two performances Latigo Lace gave at
the Toppenish PowWow and Rodeo over the 4th of
July.
We appreciate the fact that you folks don’t just come
play, grab your check and "hit the road". You have been
helpful with ideas and suggestions to improve each of the
events that you have participated in and truly partner with
us for mutual success. Toppenish and the Yakima Valley are
grateful to have discovered you and that you are willing to
head to this side of the Cascades for some dry, hot weather
and to share your enormous talent with us.
Sincerely,

Shelley Bjornson
Executive Director
Toppenish Chamber of Commerce

Dear Latigo Lace:
I wanted to take a minute to tell you "thank you"
for providing our
Summer Arts Series on July 17th with such wonderfull
entertainment!
The audience was estimated at close to 1,000 people, many
who had
planned to be there, many more that were drawn to the sounds
of your
music from the park, marina and the entire downtown area!
Your music selections were perfect, the vocals were
impeccable and
the sound of the band was as tight as we cound have hoped
for, you
are pro's. The written comments we recieved during the
evening I
believe speak for the crowd, everyone enjoyed your
performance
immensely!
Again thank you for being a part of The City of
Kirkland's Summer
Performing Arts Series. Please feel free to share this
letter with
anyone planning an event; we would love for them to know
what a
delightful experience it was having you at ours!
Sincerely,

Tracy E. Harrison

To Whom It May Concern:
Dear Sir or Madam:
I've had the
pleasure of working with many bands in my nine years at the
Tulalip Casino. In my opinion, Latigo Lace is one of
the best bands that I've had the joy to work with.
The energy that Latigo Lace generates with the crowd
is simply astounding. I've never seen a group with this
much versatility. Latigo Lace actually works the
crowd from 'just sitting there -- to getting up and having a
great time kicking up their heels.' Many times we
see talented groups, but somehow they just can't reach the
crowd like Latigo Lace. With this band there's just
never a problem.
It never fails that at the end of the evening, I have guests
come by to compliment our staff on our choice to bring in
Latigo Lace. Their first question is -- when is
Latigo Lace coming back? Their song list is
outstanding. From Country Rock to Top 40, this band has it
all.
Sincerely,
Monique Steffins
Asst. Manager of Entertainment

Mr. Mark Collins
LATIGO LACE
Dear Mark:
It has been my pleasure to work with both you and your band,
Latigo Lace over the past several years both in the Festival
market and for Corporate/Private Event functions.
As you know, I've recently sent the group to Alaska, as well
as using the group at both the 2001 Emerald Queen Casino
Taste of Tacoma, and the Safeway Bite of Seattle, as well as
numerous corporate events with area meeting planners.
Your band has consistently performed up to my
strict standards, as well as thrilling the clients both near
and far with a great show.
You have shown yourself to be very detail oriented and
capable of carrying out every detail of instruction in
whatever situation you find yourself in. The corporate
clients have consistently been very appreciative of your
willingness to cater to their particular guests, even when
they didn't want country music!
Thanks again Mark
for your consistent attention to detail. It makes my
job so much easier to be able to depend upon a professional
band leader. It would be my pleasure to recommend your
band to any prospective client. Please feel free
to use me as a reference.
Best Regards,
Linda Zopfi

To Whom It May Concern:
These past two years I've had the pleasure of working with
the band "Latigo Lace" and Mark Collins at the Methow Valley
Country Music Festival's and the Winthrop Palace nightclub
in Winthrop, Washington, July 31, & Aug 1, 1998 and July 30,
& 31, 1999.
I have seen many groups in the Northwest but not many as
exciting, energetic and professional as "Latigo Lace." The
band features two lead vocalists, one female and one male.
It not only gave the tunes some variety, but it also made
for some well balanced harmonies with sex appeal. This group
has a lot of talent and would be a sure hit at your next
festival, concert, private party, etc.
Yours Truly,
Jimmy Smith

Dear Mark,
Thanks for providing a breath of fresh air to the local
Seattle music scene. Finally a show band comes along that
gets people off their seats and makes a joint jump!
I've worked with the band through my duties with Young
Country KYCW. and I also deal with local club owners who
work with Latigo Lace. One point that is always expressed is
the professionalism and energy of the band. Latigo Lace is
reliable, committed, they're excellent musicians, and they
do a tremendous job of promoting themselves. The band sends
out weekly e-mail and flyers updating their fans on upcoming
shows and what's happening with the group. I have never seen
a band promote and market themselves as well as Latigo Lace.
Latigo Lace brings a huge following wherever they play. The
club owners and managers I have spoken with have all been
extremely impressed and happy with the entire production
Latigo Lace brings to each show.
When you have Latigo Lace on stage you have more than just a
hard rocking, hard driving, foot stomping band that plays
what people want to hear. You've got a band that puts on a
complete show! From the music, to the stage presence, to the
overall showmanship of the band, the bottom line is Latigo
Lace puts on a show that keeps people coming back for more.
When you've got Latigo Lace booked, all you have to do is
sit back and enjoy the show because they do everything else!
Thank you for all your help and support of the local music
scene.
Sincerely,
Matt Hobbs
